Of course, they might be yelling “for” or “fore” too for that matter.
I know it is to alert other golfers of an incoming ball, but why “four”, “for”, or “fore”?

I purchased what I have found by research to be a pretty good golf club to resell on ebay and I have been asked this question buy an interested buyer? How do I answer it? I play golf but I’ve never had custom clubs made or anything and I am not aware of what it means other than guessing it has something to do with the angle of the club head & face?

Custom Golf Clubs Improve Your Game
Do you love to play golf but are tired of having to visit the golf club repair shop on a regular basis? If this is the case then you are like many other golfers out there who have to deal with golf club repair on a regular basis just to enjoy the game you love so much. But, what if there was an option for you to avoid frequent trips to the golf club repair shop? What if you could finally play a round of golf with a set of golf clubs that really fit your size and swing without worrying about golf club repair? Well, you can and the way you can is with a set of custom golf clubs. Custom golf clubs may seem like a major expense up front, but if you sit down and consider the price of your current set of clubs in addition to all the golf club repair bills then you will see that when you do the math a custom golf club set really is not that expensive. And, the benefits of having custom golf clubs is that you will play better golf than ever and will enjoy the game even more. But, what are the benefits of custom golf clubs and why should you choose custom golf clubs over others? The following information will guide you to all the benefits and information you need to know about custom golf clubs.
All About Custom Golf Clubs
Just to make a point about custom golf clubs take a look around you the next time you are out on the golf course. Is everyone the same height, weight, sex, and age or are there major differences in appearance? Now, check out everyone’s golf clubs. Are all of the clubs practically the same with standard grips, lengths, and the like? So, what does this observation mean? It means that standard golf clubs don’t fit the majority of golfers. So if you truly want to improve your game you will customize a set of custom golf clubs, just for you. Now, you are probably thinking that custom golf clubs are even more expensive than name brand golf clubs. However, that is not necessarily the case. Not to mention that the fitted custom golf clubs you hear about aren’t anything at all like custom golf clubs, they are made from scratch just for you. Don’t get confused between fitted custom clubs and custom golf clubs. The fitted custom golf clubs simply start out with the standard set of clubs from any golf manufacturer and then they proceed to make the clubs more suitable to your personal and playing traits. Although the custom fitting doesn’t do too much other than cost you money because they are starting with a product that doesn’t fit you to begin with!
Why would anyone anticipate that mass produced clubs would help them play golf at their best? The reason is because golfers want to be better and they believe the hype from the golf manufacturers that the “newest” technology will improve their game. Well, the real answer is not in buying mass produced clubs but rather customizing your own golf clubs. Anyone who has ever had a set of custom golf clubs can tell you that finally having a set of clubs that are the right length, with the right grip, will greatly impact what you shoot the next time you are out on the golf course.
It is simply logical to buy custom golf clubs that are made to fit you or customize your own set of golf clubs. That means your golf swing is analyzed as well as your personal characteristics to create a custom golf club set that works with your golf style and not against it. A custom golf club set will allow you to have grips that are the right size for your hands, heads that reflect your skill, and shafts that are the right length and flex.
When you have your first custom golf club set made you may see some big differences from your last set of clubs. Your custom golf clubs may be a different length or the grip may be smaller or bigger. The flex may be different and the head might be different as well. For some people who set out to play with their custom golf clubs the first day they see amazing results. Others will need to make some changes and practice because although the custom golf clubs really fit their personal characteristics it’s difficult to change after playing with clubs that don’t fit for so long. Just a little practice and patience is all that is needed to see the difference custom golf clubs provide. Not to mention that when you have a custom golf club set made you will have new clubs that won’t be in need of golf club repair any time soon! If you really love golf then a custom golf club set is really worth the investment.

I’ve been learning golf for a couple of months and am looking to spend no more than £150 for a full set of clubs. Can you recommend things to look for in a set and maybe some good brands.
My instructor has also offered to custom fit some clubs for me, as I’m 6′3″. I wonder if it’s worth the extra money though.
Also, does anyone have an opinion on the new wood-iron hybrid clubs?

Golf Clubs - Buyers Tips You Must Know
Filed Under custom golf | Comments Off
There is business in the mix as well, as in most other things. Manufacturers, promoters, sellers, all of them are involved.
Take used golf clubs, for example - there is extensive buying and selling of these products going on in some parts of the world, which might mean you can get yourself a better deal than you thought, if you know where to look!
Some companies choose to make their own clubs from scratch, meaning they do the planning, the choosing of the material to use, the construction of a golf club, and all other necessities. Other companies however choose to buy an already constructed golf club and put all efforts to making it work for them, through careful marketing and sponsorships too.
All About The Price
A golf club does not come cheaply if you buy unwisely. In fact, millions are spent on developing clubs, whether in design, construction of it or the buying-in of a ready made product.
Yet, like in all other opportunities in the business world, there come situations where you can find discount golf clubs at a great price - truth is it’s good business for you as well as your vendor, who can make a deal quickly and easily.
Cheap golf clubs are self explanatory. You buy them and enjoy yourself using them as well as having a good deal in your pocket - more than if you’d bought off the shelf branded products - all at a very affordable price!
Golf Clubs Available in the Market
If you really do not want to pay for expensive golf clubs, then checkout other options, such as clone golf clubs. This may be best option for you. Of course, as these are clone clubs, they might not be quite as good as the original they were based on (although clone golf club manufacturers might try to argue that one!).
Yet clone golf club manufacturers nowadays have state of the art facilities and you may find this economical, yet great quality product just to your liking.
So it is all up to you to decide.
For the more esoteric afficionado, antique golf clubs are also in demand in the market and collectors truly appreciate these clubs - and pay the price for them too.
Collecting vintage clubs and showing off these finds around the golf course does have its rewards and truly can make you everyone’s buddy around the place.
Some golfers like to have their clubs personalized. That is why custom golf clubs manufacturers have found a niche for their products. Clubs that are engraved with company logos or personal designs do have their own magical appeal.
Aside from these, you can also find in the market hybrid golf clubs. A mix between long iron and fairway wood, these clubs are all the rage these days. In fact a lot of players and golf gurus are recommending them.
If you are a parent and looking for the right club for your young golfer, then there are plenty of junior golf clubs to choose from out there.
Just take note that in buying golf clubs, it has to improve your game and not otherwise.

The Golf Balls You Choose Can Enhance Your Game
Filed Under custom golf | Comments Off
On the outside most golf balls look pretty much the same, but the contents inside of an individual ball can be completely different. The inside of a golf ball can determine which ball is right for you as a beginner, intermediate or experienced player.
Choose golf balls for better performance
One of the most important things to check for when buying golf balls is the compression rate. The compression rate affects how your ball performs on the course. A higher compression rate is the best choice for an experienced golfer. The compression rates of golf balls usually range from 70 to 110, depending on the manufacturer. You can usually find information about the compression composition on the side of the package, or small numbers marked directly on the balls.
Figuring out the numbers
So how do you read the numbers to choose the best golf balls? A ball with a 70 rate of compression will be one of the softer balls you can purchase, while balls around 110 are much harder. As soon as your club hits the golf ball, the ball actually becomes flat at the moment of impact. Golf balls that flatten easily are softer, like a 70 rate compression ball. Balls with a higher rate of compression, around 110, are much harder and take a lot more energy and power in your swing to flatten on impact.
New or used?
The great news is that there are golf balls to fit every level of expertise, and every budget. You can choose used brand new golf balls, used or recycled balls. Most of these balls are left lying around the course following a few games. What many don’t know is that you can actually find quality rated used and recycled balls. For example, if you like brand names like Titleist, Nike, Calloway or Maxfli, used or recycled balls with a high quality rating are a steal. Imagine paying half of the cost of a $58.00 package of balls that look and perform exactly the same on the course. Used golf balls are easy to find. There are many merchants who only sell used balls and nothing else.
Logo and custom balls
Logo and custom golf balls make great gifts for golf lovers around birthdays and holidays. What could be more impressive than receiving your own set of balls personalized with your company logo, name, initials or college mascot? Golf balls can be customized in just about any way you can imagine.
Each year golfers end up spending hundreds of dollars on balls and other equipment attempting to do what the pros do. There are hundreds of different golf balls available in a variety of prices. If you are an average golfer, the smartest thing to do is start off with less expensive used balls and work your way up to the high performance brand names. Pay attention to the rating system to make sure you get quality rated balls that deliver good performance. The only real difference you will notice is that quality used golf balls will keep more money in your pocket.

Custom Golf Balls to Spread Word About Your Company
Filed Under custom golf | Comments Off
While putting up a stall at the trade show or exhibition for sports lovers, it would be fun to have custom golf balls on display. Golf lovers from across the country will be visiting and if they make note of your specially designed balls, they will take back memories of the same and appreciate these unique golf balls. Getting your company name or logo in a circular format on the ball is the best way, because then the name and the design will be clearly visible to all. If you got a square or any other shape, it would become difficult to fit in all the information and hard to read as well, since the text would get garbled and spread across the surface.
Most corporate brands use these golf balls to promote their business or increase sales for their company. Nike, Titleist, Maxfli, Callaway are some companies that manufacture golf balls. They are known for their brand value, and reputation in serving the best quality balls to golf players across the globe. They also create golf balls in the color, and style requested by the client. They do have a minimum order, or value to be adhered to, which is something you need to make note of .
These days, companies make a provision in their budget for promotional items and gifts, which is what these golf balls are. They go around spreading word about the company and helping build reputation for them. They are almost like brand ambassadors who travel the world and market the company at a low investment. If you have entered a new market, or are thinking about exploring other options, it would be ideal to get out these customized balls into the market, and distribute them amidst your clients and customers. Thereby, they will come to know of what is happening latest at your organization. This will bring in more business, new contracts and help you expand your business.
If your golfing partner’s birthday is coming up, or their company is going to celebrate an occasion, you could gift them these special balls. Another situation where they come in handy is when your company is sponsoring a golf tournament or event. Handing out free customized balls to all visitors or to the players, will definitely create a good name for you in the industry and help make some good contacts. The golf balls Tiger Woods uses is hard and solid, whereas some of the others could be made of a different material. So, if you were to take these factors into consideration while placing the order, you could benefit largely.
Just make sure to not compromise on the quality of the custom golf balls, else people will turn against you. Golf is a sport that is considered to be a gentleman’s sport, and so played in a very distinguished manner. The equipment and accessories used are high quality and on the expensive side, so make sure to give out the best there is to offer.
