No matter how expensive the shirt is, my husbands polo-style golf shirts, after washing a few times, the collars start fading and get a “ring” where the collar folds over. Its very frustrating, I am washing exactly as the shirt says. I even read to turn the shirts inside out and unfold collar during washing, and this helps some, but still eventually they fade so bad, he will no longer where the shirt. Please help?

The shirt not as much and use non fading detergent if thats how you spell it.
try to put the shirt on the Wash Bag&Mesh Bag&Lingerie Bag when u wash it..
The natural oils that come from your husbands neck ring around the collars get ring because of the stains and wash in cold water to prevent fading the collar very.

If the collars are so bad on the ones you have washed you can unpick them carefully I use a magnifier and sharp razor blade then run a line of stitching along the open edge the collar came out off. The shirt becomes Asian style and is a lot more comfortable as neck rubbing is relieved especially if the neck is short and not thin. This way you still get a lot more use out of the garment and you don’t have to be so careful washing.
The collars dont get crazy also you can return things to either place no questions asked.
