Mike Pedersen asked:

Custom golf bags can be made available in all colors, designs and sizes from an increasing number of companies who are providing customization services including provision of designer logos and simple embroidered designs and messages.
The standard products are no longer satisfactory to many people for whom standardization is equated with the ordinary, and must have customized products to suit their own particular characters and personalities.
Show Your Team Colors
Traditional customizing services are still available from companies who can manufacture custom golf bags in your chosen color and choice of design. You can have your choice of sports team logo, such as football, basketball or baseball team, featured on your bag, which can also be made in your team’s colors. If you are too busy on the golf course to watch you favorite team live, you can make a statement of your allegiance on your golf bag.
You can also have your own company corporate logo featured on your bag, and custom golf bags can be provided as gifts from the larger and richer corporations to their favored customers. It is also possible to design your own logo and embroidered designs can be made to order to be incorporated in the bag of your choice.
Keep The Ladies Happy With A Fashion Statement
This type of customization has gone further now, with fashion being a common feature of custom golf bags and a wide range of golfing accessories are now available to match the golf bag itself. These include handbags, clothing, rainwear, umbrellas and even designer tees and balls. The high costs normally associated with type of customization is now being commonly avoided with the provision of custom golf bags off the shelf, and the standard level of customization can be further personalized with a few simple inexpensive options.
All types of golf bags can be customized and custom golf bags are available in carry bag, stand bag, cart bag and travel bag designs. Customized travel bags are especially popular, where the travel case can be designed to suit the customer and be used with any golf bag.
Six-Packs, Babies, Cats and Dogs!
Highly colored custom golf bags are increasing in popularity, though customization is not only used as a fashion statement. Many golfers use custom golf bag services to design golf bags to their own specific practical requirements. For example, many bags are designed to hold six-packs and other drinks requirements and others are made to match the women’s favorite golfing outfits.
Customization is becoming increasingly sophisticated, and it will not be long before cart bags are available with baby carriers and slings so that the whole family can go golfing together. That’s what you call starting early, and I won’t even mention facilities for the family cats and dogs!

Leo

Glenn Mcdonald asked:

Blaming your moves, shots and swings for your golf mis-hits and mishaps? Well, no matter how much time and effort you have been spending over practicing your moves to perfect your game, you still won’t achieve your goal if you use unsuitable or defective types of golf equipment will you?
Now is high time for you to consider the following golf tips that involve checking on your equipment’s quality.
If you plan to choose used golf clubs as beginner’s tools, scrutinizing before purchasing is a must. The club heads, the shafts, and the grips are golf club parts that should pass inspection first before landing a decent spot in your golf equipment cabinet. Another excellent golf tip that will get you through the game is making sure that the set of used golf clubs you’re eyeing have set consistency. It will also help a lot if you check first the price of new clubs vs. used.
A golf tip for a golfer that plans to regrip his clubs: Be cautious. This is because the grips are the only contact points one can access to affect the shot. Before carrying out the regripping, know the core grip of the club and your hands grip size. To determine your core size grip, measure the diameter of the butt of the shaft you’re going to re-grip. The shaft’s diameter should match the grip’s core diameter. In determining your hands grip, the available size grips are regular, mid-size, oversize and jumbo. Use only the best re-gripping materials that will provide optimum performance for your golf clubs.
Another golf tip or advice is that using ill-fitted clubs will be an obstacle to your golf playing success. A golfer must consider his or her body type in choosing the best-fitting equipment to support and deliver his backswings efficiently. Too steep angles in carrying out backswings may be avoided if one selects the perfect fitting equipment available.
Custom golf club fitting makes a better option than just buying new golf clubs. Getting custom fitting golf clubs is a golf tip that translates to a very worthy investment. The uniqueness of each person is attributed to the need of this way of buying new golf clubs. A custom fitting produces golf clubs that specifically suit the height, strength, swing characteristics and club head speed of the golfer.
The type of club shaft also helps in predicting whether you’ll do well in a game or you won’t. There’s a choice between a steel club shaft and a graphite-made club shaft. This golf tip aims to make you realize which type of golf club shaft will benefit your game. Observations tell that the steel club shafts are more preferred by professional golfers while graphite shafts become more popular with women, senior players and beginners. Steel shafts are less expensive than graphite shafts though.
One more golf tip that could help you is that the golf clubs that must be the main content of your bag must suit your skill level. Since various skill levels need various golf clubs, it won’t be wise to just use or bring a golf club that is just lying around. And, don’t ever forget about the maximum golf club load your bag is allowed to hold. You can only bring 14 golf clubs in your bag. No more. No less. Aside from your skill level contemplation, your mastery of a certain golf club and your being comfortable with using it must also be put into consideration in deciding which golf club to hit.
A good combination of the right moves and good choice of equipment will better arm you to become the best golfer you could ever be.

Yvonne

Josh Neumann asked:

Many people today are interesting in the golf terminology, because often times it seems like golfers have their own separate language when they hit the links. Quite simply, a new golfer has to know the terminology to be able to communicate effectively with other golfers. Here are some quick tips in terms that you will need to know before hitting the golf course for the first time.

First of all, a birdie is anytime you score one stroke under par. An eagle is two strokes under par, and a double eagle is three strokes under par. For instance, if you play the par four, and get a three, this would be a birdie.

A par is where you shoot even par for a hole, and a bogey is where you shoot one over par for a hole. A double bogey occurs when you shoot two over par, a triple bogey is three of over par, and a quadruple bogey is four strokes over par.

These are the scoring terms, but the golf terminology certainly doesn’t stop there. A driver is what you use when you tee off. This is the club with the least amount of loft, and you will generally hit this the farthest. Your irons are what you will generally play from the fairway when trying to hit the green.

An ace is talking about a hole-in-one. The term action is talking about putting backspin on the ball once it hits the green. This could be if you had hit a sand wedge from the fairway, and it spins backwards once it hits the green. Your aim is simply the target line where you want it a shot.

The fairway is talking about the short grass you generally try to hit the ball to from the tee. Of course, this isn’t the case with par threes, but is true of par 3 and 4s. The rough is the longer grass on either side of the fairway, where generally try to avoid when you’re in your tee shot. The intermediate cut is usually the second cut it is a little the longer the fairway but shorter than the rough.

The front nine is the first nine holes of the golf course you play, and the back nine is talking about the last nine holes the golf course. A snowman is when you get a score very high over par. Obviously, there are many more terms you will likely learn, and you will simply pick up many of them the more you play. It would be impossible to cover every single term in this article, but these are the basics you must know before you start to play.

Custom golf balls is pretty much like it sounds; uniquely made golf balls built for your individual game. Obviously, you will need to be a very good player in order to justify purchasing these, as they are quite expensive and really don’t make a big difference in your game unless you are a more advanced player.

When you play through, it means the group in front of you is letting you go ahead of them, because you are playing faster than they are. The bottom line is, if you want more golf tips and lessons on the web, whether it be about more swing terms, which equipment to buy, information on hitting the ball better, etc, the web has all the data you need. Hopefully these tips will help you to get the golf terminology straight down and help you to carry on a reasonable conversation with talking with anybody on the golf course.

Anthony

Lind Golf asked:

We all know that Golf is a game that’s difficulties can induce high levels of frustrations. So the one piece of advice we have is to make sure you have the right equipment. Don’t make it more difficult for yourself by using clubs that just don’t feel right.

Every golfer’s body and swing are unique to that individual and that’s what custom fitting is all about. Custom fitting golf clubs involves a quick self assessment of your game and several easy measurements. To custom fit your golf clubs, the following information is needed:

•	Your gender (male or female)

•	Your height in your stockings or socks

•	The distance from your wrist (where it bends) to the floor (without shoes)

•	What club you use at the 135 meter marker

•	Handicap, age, swing speed

Firstly, your gender is used to put you into the correct fitting scale. Then, your height and the distance in inches from your wrist to the floor are used together to determine the length of golf club that is appropriate for you. (About 80% of golfers are Standard length.)

Your age, handicap, estimated golf swing speed and club you use at the 135 meter marker are all combined to determine the shaft flex that is appropriate for you.

Club Length & Flex

With regards to the length of your club there’s one main point you should consider: a longer golf club will hit further given the same swing speed - so length can be a good thing. But, as I’m sure you’re thinking, it can’t be that simple. And you’re right! Since the swing arc is longer, it often is also harder to keep under control - so length can be a bad thing. All things being equal, most golfers will opt for longer length to the sacrifice of greater control. But there’s still a decision to be made!

The standard length of a steel shafted Driver for a man is 44 inches. Graphite shafted drivers are manufactured 1 inch longer than steel shafted clubs because graphite shafts weigh less than steel shafts allowing us to produce a longer club with the same swing . The proper length of a golf club is a function of your height and the length of your arms. Some golf shop provide a Custom Fitting Wizard that determines the correct length for you with just a few simple measurements.

Flex is the torsional stiffness of the golf club, which is provided by the type of golf club shaft that is used. Generally, stiffer shafts are better for stronger hitting golfers.

The proper flex of a golf club is a function of your strength and golfing skills. Determining the correct flex is most important for your Woods and longer Irons. Short irons, wedges and putters are not impacted very much by the different flexes as the differences between flexes becomes very small in the shorter clubs.

Loft & Lie Adjustments

A lie adjustment requires bending the hardened metal in which an iron is cast. We strongly advise getting your lie fitting done in person. Online fittings while accurate do not take into account your natural ball address. Some players are more naturally upright and some like to lean into the ball. Once you have lie adjusted a club it is usually not a good idea to re-adjust if you later find it was the wrong adjustment.

From years of building experience we find it rare to need more than a 2 degree adjustment upright or flat, therefore we only perform lie adjustments to either extreme.

Woods, hybrid clubs and putters can not be adjusted. The reason these clubs can not be adjusted is because the hosel of each is cast in a way where physically bending the head at all will cause damage. In woods and hybrids it will crack or bend the crown of the club, and putter hosels are not made with the strength required for adjustment after the casting process.

Loft adjustments require a different type of bend than a lie adjustment. Some people receive advice in which they require a certain loft adjustment. We have never understood loft adjustments since it merely changes the loft of the club. We recommend buying golf clubs matching the loft you seek and avoid custom loft adjustments. Bending the loft of an iron weakens the hardened metal and can lead to future metal fatigue, since the actual bend twists the metal to an extent. If the loft of your 5 iron is too strong, use a 6 iron. If it is too weak, use a 4 iron.

Travel Golf Bags to Discount Bags

Men’s Bags, Ladies Bags, Junior Bags.

There must be thousands of types, styles, colors, makes and models of the simple golf bag. They are made by the well known giants like Nike, Callaway, Ping, Titleist, Wilson, Cleveland, Taylor Made and the specialty golf bag companies like Ogio, Sixron, Mizuno, Sun Mountain, Benetti, Datrek and more. And all you wanted to do was find someplace to put your clubs.

But, before looking at the many golf bag manufacturers, take a moment to decide what golf bag best fits the way you play golf.

If you are a walker and enjoy strolling your favorite golf course, consider a Carry Bag. They are lightweight and most often made of plastic, nylon or even canvas. They can handle your basic golf clubs and your balls, tees and a towel. They often come with a stand that keeps your clubs upright when you are making a shot. Golf Carry bags were introduced in the early 1980s when Sun Mountain introduced the first bag with legs that automatically extended when it was set down on the ground.

These days, the cart bag is probably the most popular golf bag. A bit too bulky to carry, it fits nicely on a hand pushed cart frame or the back of a golf cart. The cart golf bag is large enough to hold all your clubs, shoes, towels and all the other accessories that are so helpful out on the golf course. They can be carried in a pinch, but a strong back is a definite requisite.

The third option is called a staff bag. These are carried by the professionals and people who want to have every imaginable club (up to the allowable 14 club limit) and anything else the golfer might want to carry on his or her round. We are usually in caddy territory here.

These days many golfers take their clubs on golf vacations and sometimes even on business trips. The golf travel bag has fast become another popular golf bag option. The soft bag is good when traveling by car. It is usually lighter and more compact. The carry bag is a good option here.

However when an airplane is part of the itinerary, a hard golf travel bag is a must. The hard shell case bag protects your clubs from being damaged. But they fit nicely on your golf cart when you arrive. These golf bags are considered luggage and not recommended when walking the golf course. However, they are an absolute must when packing your clubs for the airport. Nothing can ruin a golfing vacation more than a broken or bent set of golf clubs.

Golf bags also come in different shapes and sizes with these categories. Ladies and junior golfers certainty have different weight and size requirements than the men.

One can also easily find discount and used golf bags online or at your local pro shop.

The absolute best place to shop for golf bags is online. With a few mouse strokes you can visit many different Internet stores, do your research and find the bag that absolutely meets your unique golf bag criteria and even color. You can also find used golf bags on sites like E-bay and there are always special sales and ever present discount offers. In some cases, they can be downright cheap. The avid golfer can even find individual customized golf bags. It’s all online.

For many golfers, one bag isn’t enough. Many enthusiastic golfers own two or three so they will have the perfect bag for the perfect round.
